‘WHAT’S GOING ON IN CYBER-SPACE?’
This session will examine a range digital learning strategies specifically at Key Stage 5 including ‘blogging’ and it’s potential use within post 16 courses, the use of social networking and cyber safety and a number of software packages that a range of sixth form centres are using to enhance post 16 studies. The session is aimed at novices to the world of cyber space! The workshop will be structured to allow for questions.
The main points to be covered in the workshop
- Introduce the VLE/MLE concept that will be part of every school in the near future as part of BSF and other initiatives.
- Introduce the concept of Web 2.0 and it’s potential in education
- Look at OpenMind Software and it’s potential for work across all Key Stages.

Take a look at what this Maths teacher is doing…
A Maths teacher in the US is screen capturing his IWB every three mins and linking this to his blog so that people can watch what is happening on his White Board. Have a look. He has also got some great examples of maths work. Let me know what you think about it.
