Here we are ages later and I'm busy looking at the topic again, well aware that I've made very little progress!! However I have managed to introduce the idea of Learning Conversations to 60% of our departments with some interesting results. I shall be working round all the departments in the next few weeks getting them interested in the Assessment for Learning concept. Lookig at it again now I can see how powerful a tool for improvement it can be. Many thanks for an excellent conference.

I should practice what I preach and write a comment! I found this session particularly useful, particularly the self assessment sheets that can be given out with essay assigments that include a brief outline of the success criteria, and the sections where the learner and teacher each mark down if the student is meeting the criteria or not.

Thanks for a great conference - I found it really informative and look forward to sharing what I learnt with my colleagues!
